To say the least, they mentioned, “With all your quotes, you should write a book.” I thought to myself, “That is a wonderful idea,” and they just poured out of me. I compiled them one by one, hour by hour, day by day, year by year, into one book. As I love quotes and sayings and clichés on anything. I love little hardback books, softback pocket guides, and so on. I’m drawn to quotes, and I know people are as they live by them: day by day! However, I then decided to break them down by category, by mood, by feeling, and by emotion, and they became chapters in the book: “Inspirational,” “General,” “Spiritual,” etc. For fun, I wanted to create some T-shirts, as I love baby tees. I love tissue cotton tees. I love characters and sayings on tees. I was going to make them with some simple sayings, but they took on lives of their own. The tees are pieces of artwork, such as the chapters in the books. I am drawn to them, and I know people are too, so that is why combining them, I feel, is such as neat way to express this unique concept. And that is how Quotes to Live By books (by ¡Think Again!) and Quotes tees (by lu•mi•nous) were born. It’s a timeless era. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a way of life. A conference on Harmonic Analysis on Reductive Groups was held at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine from July 31 to August 11, 1989. The stated goal of the conference was to explore recent advances in harmonic analysis on both real and p-adic groups. It was the first conference since the AMS Summer Sym posium on Harmonic Analysis on Homogeneous Spaces, held at Williamstown, Massachusetts in 1972, to cover local harmonic analysis on reductive groups in such detail and to such an extent. While the Williamstown conference was longer (three weeks) and somewhat broader (nilpotent groups, solvable groups, as well as semisimple and reductive groups), the structure and timeliness of the two meetings was remarkably similar. The program of the Bowdoin Conference consisted of two parts. First, there were six major lecture series, each consisting of several talks addressing those topics in harmonic analysis on real and p-adic groups which were the focus of intensive research during the previous decade. These lectures began at an introductory level and advanced to the current state of research. Sec ond, there was a series of single lectures in which the speakers presented an overview of their latest research.

A Thesaurus of Old English The Thesaurus is drawn from a database of more than 50,000 entries, each recording a discrete word sense of Old English vocabulary. These materials are taken largely from the standard dictionaries of the language, with some supplementation from the available fascicles of the Toronto Dictionary of Old English and from the DOE's working materials. The thesaurus classification is based on that designed by Michael Samuels and Christian Kay for the Historical Thesaurus of English, for which the TOE was initially a pilot study. Because the Thesaurus of Old English, first published in the King's College London Medieval Series (1995) as a research tool offered to the academic community, is now entering a second impression, it can be described in the words of its reviewers:
